I dislike this Jill intensely

So I just made her Claire and changed the audio to Japanese. Now I'm Claire. Jill isn't important. Bring back old Jill.

The silly thing about her character which you've touched upon is that her personality is very similar to Claire from REmake 2, a 19 year old girl who hasn't encountered this kind of situation before. Although I wasn't a fan of Claire's personality in REmake 2 it at least fit the situation for these REimaginings. Jill though? she's STARS. She survived the mansion incident. She shouldn't be acting like a teenage girl swearing all over the place and being shocked by every little thing. They dropped the ball pretty hard on both her personality and design which is a shame.

But it's a standard for every 'badass' female character to be dropping F-bombs all the time (although that's not badass at all but w/e). They all look the same, wear the same clothes, talk the same way, act the same way and it's all a huge mess of boring.

Seriously, someone find 10 differences between the new Jill and reboot Lara Croft. There are none and that's why Jill sucks.

You do realise Jill goes through a lot in this game, if she wasn't STARS she would have broken near the start. Also for the record Jill's personality is on point here if you play the original RE3 with the "jerk Jill route".
For example if you help Brad kill the zombie she is polite and tells Brad to hang in there, if you leave Brad to deal with the zombie himself she bluntly demands answers from him and ridicules why no one has done anything about the zombies without a care to his well-being. That is very similar to how she acts here just without the swearing.

Really? After Claire and Leon in RE2R I was a bit disappointed about this Jill, too quiet for my taste. I aim at a zombie' head and she doesn't say anything. Boring

RE2 had an "angry Claire" mod I'd recommend that forced it to trigger one of her angry lines every time she spoke when fighting, was very enjoyable. But sadly it seems not everyone has the same taste so they cut down on the amount of lines she says in this game.

Not sure what the issue is. Jill in the original RE3 was already completely different from her RE1-version. RE3R-Jill at least acts like she's already faced some horrors before.

I totally agree with you, this new chick they have in the remake sounds like a try hard cosplayer trying to be Jill, she doesn't even look like her & definitely doesn't match her personality.

What a heart breaking remake.

Intensely may be too much. But yeah, she's very unlikeable in this one, and the contrast is big when you have it side by side with Carlos, who is pure love.
