You can stop comparing at this point. Any RE fan (even the one who know little about the series), knows that:
a) Tyrants' the most vulnerable point is A HEART which is much bigger than for normal human being.
b) Nemesis is A TYRANT, advanced one, but STILL A TYRANT. Umbrella knows about this vulnerability and provided armored case + Nemesis KNOWS about his weak spot and covers it with his hand if you try to shoot at it
the giant heart is a defect in some tyrants due mutations, this was breed out with cloning and the T-103 line (the Mr.X line) did not have a exposed heart, nemesis is also know as Nemesis-T type is a Tyrant T-103 created by implanting a NE-a parasite into a him, the parasite gained a higher level of intelligence due to the t-virus infection and was able to use weapons as well as following more complex orders. the standed T-103s that were let lose on the city were just told to kill everyone, Nemesis was given the order to kill all reaming S.T.A.R.S. members in the city.
anyways as I was saying he is in the T-103 line so his heart should not be exposed like that, the only tyrants that have said heart exposed in the T-00 series (the first two) and some of the prototypes
so yes Nemesis is a tyrant but he is a unique offshoot of the T-103 line...also a heart isn't a tyrants most vulnerable point, most of the time they can keep functioning long after it is destroyed if you can do so because they can heal pretty much right away from most damage
Wrong. He had - even in the original game, but character design had it on the right for some reason. Take a look at his appearance in the original game, it's barely visible due to fire, but you'll see the heart. RE2R made it even more obvious and visible having moved it to its natural position
And while you can't kill Tyrant that easily with his regeneration factor, it's still weak point which may help to stop a tyrant for some time giving opportunity to finish him or run away
lastly we are talking nemesis and how he strays from his original design and how it is worse from the original.
Metal on his chest: It's either his heart inside or the parasite, as when you stun Stage 2 Nemesis the parasite falls out of his chest as his weakpoint from where the metal case used to be.
Stage 2: the new Stage 1 Nemesis contains the tentacle grabbing attacks from the old Stage 2 which makes the old Stage 2 a bit redundant to keep, one thing I miss though is not having the tentacle slam attack where he throws you over his head 2-3 times and slamming you into the ground each time before tossing you across the room. That was amazing.
Stage 3: Both versions keep to the pitiful state of Nemesis at this point being unable to move properly yet still trying to kill Jill with whatever he has left, however the remake makes him more of a threat to add more intense action while the original had him easy to avoid and ignorable as you prepared the railgun, so its more personal taste if you prefer punishing Nemesis yourself or letting the railgun do it all as you sit back and watch him die.
They basically did a "Star Wars Sequel Trilogy" with RE3 remake.
