A nemesis comparison
This post just wants to take a look at the "last escape" version of nemesis and the remake version
so last escape nemesis has a few things over the remake, in his first form his face looks a bit better (well the art of it lol) he wears a limiter coat (the same thing Mr.X has on that limits the amount they will mutate)
remakes first form looks good at a distance but as you get close it looks like his face is already melted and he is covered in garbage bags, also has a big dumb heart case.
the second form from last escape loses much of his limiter coat and is now covered in tentacles, giving his melee attacks further reach, he also come out to attack Jill and Carlos several times.
remake second form is just a big dumb animal thing that is a boss fight twice and pops up in a cut scene. both forms are defeated in a similar fashion (being drowned in anti B.O.W. fluid)
form 3 of last escape is the torso left over for his earlier defeat who then consumes the dead body of a super tyrant (Mr.X in his final form) to become much larger and much more gross and is put down by a rail gun (because in the 90s rail guns was the most bad ass thing ever) Jill has to put in power block while avoiding him to fire the rail gun 3 times and even then he is not dead, he crawls over to you still trying to kill you and Jill grabs a .357 magnum and puts 6 rounds in him and delivers the one liner: "S.T.A.R.S.?! I'LL GIVE YOU S.T.A.R.S.!
in the remake nemesis form 3 is just demon wall from the final fantasy games, how did he get that way is unclear, but he does look better in this form BUT the fight is more lack luster, first shot is free then you have to push in the power cores for the next shot and your done, Jill delivers the much more lackluster one liner: "take the hint" and he is dead for good.

so overall I think his design in remake is much stronger in the way he pursues Jill, jumping cover zombies and above doors, and overall the way he chases Jill but this is lackluster as there only 3 very short segments in witch he is chasing you, after the train he stops and loses all presence in the game. Looks wise I am more a fan of last escape because he has the feeling of "I will NEVER stop chasing you till you are DEAD"....also new nemesis is dressed in garbage bags and once I got a good look at that I was like....wait is he a hobo now? ♥♥♥♥ HE IS AFTER MY CHANGE!!!

You can stop comparing at this point. Any RE fan (even the one who know little about the series), knows that:

a) Tyrants' the most vulnerable point is A HEART which is much bigger than for normal human being.
b) Nemesis is A TYRANT, advanced one, but STILL A TYRANT. Umbrella knows about this vulnerability and provided armored case + Nemesis KNOWS about his weak spot and covers it with his hand if you try to shoot at it

the giant heart is a defect in some tyrants due mutations, this was breed out with cloning and the T-103 line (the Mr.X line) did not have a exposed heart, nemesis is also know as Nemesis-T type is a Tyrant T-103 created by implanting a NE-a parasite into a him, the parasite gained a higher level of intelligence due to the t-virus infection and was able to use weapons as well as following more complex orders. the standed T-103s that were let lose on the city were just told to kill everyone, Nemesis was given the order to kill all reaming S.T.A.R.S. members in the city.
anyways as I was saying he is in the T-103 line so his heart should not be exposed like that, the only tyrants that have said heart exposed in the T-00 series (the first two) and some of the prototypes

so yes Nemesis is a tyrant but he is a unique offshoot of the T-103 line...also a heart isn't a tyrants most vulnerable point, most of the time they can keep functioning long after it is destroyed if you can do so because they can heal pretty much right away from most damage

Wrong. He had - even in the original game, but character design had it on the right for some reason. Take a look at his appearance in the original game, it's barely visible due to fire, but you'll see the heart. RE2R made it even more obvious and visible having moved it to its natural position

And while you can't kill Tyrant that easily with his regeneration factor, it's still weak point which may help to stop a tyrant for some time giving opportunity to finish him or run away

looking at the original art of the super tyrant and the model of darkside chronicles, his heart is not exposed but there is a glowing red bulge where his heart is. furthermore its only when he mutates because his limiter coat is burned off when such a thing happens, and looking at the T-103s in the tubes in the NEST 2 in this game none of them have a huge gross heart.
lastly we are talking nemesis and how he strays from his original design and how it is worse from the original.

Costume: I think its meant to be packaging material for when he was being shipped, as its wrapped around him and has caution tape on it letting the guys in handling know to be careful.

Metal on his chest: It's either his heart inside or the parasite, as when you stun Stage 2 Nemesis the parasite falls out of his chest as his weakpoint from where the metal case used to be.

Stage 2: the new Stage 1 Nemesis contains the tentacle grabbing attacks from the old Stage 2 which makes the old Stage 2 a bit redundant to keep, one thing I miss though is not having the tentacle slam attack where he throws you over his head 2-3 times and slamming you into the ground each time before tossing you across the room. That was amazing.

Stage 3: Both versions keep to the pitiful state of Nemesis at this point being unable to move properly yet still trying to kill Jill with whatever he has left, however the remake makes him more of a threat to add more intense action while the original had him easy to avoid and ignorable as you prepared the railgun, so its more personal taste if you prefer punishing Nemesis yourself or letting the railgun do it all as you sit back and watch him die.

the biggest nono is his new 2nd form design, feels like a crossbreed between birkin 4 and an alien queen ( even then, atleast the alien queen can walk ).

The team behind this remake admited not being very familiar with the series, in part because they wanted to do something fresh and new, so of course they were the right persons to handle a remake of one of the most beloved games with the more lore to screw up.

They basically did a "Star Wars Sequel Trilogy" with RE3 remake.
