Not sure of that. I've noticed you can sometimes get rid of the stun by roar if you press buttons very fast, but almost never works.
The acid stun one is my main concern now, since it seems as random as it can be and it has ruined what looked like a perfect try on many times.
Oh yeah the acid spit / burst from shot pustules is the worst.
STARS-manual and both iron-defense coins make this A LOT easier. Otherwise your timing for dodging has to be perfect and you have to dodge multiple times. Heal immediately if you get hit, if you even get a chance to open inventory that is. I had more trouble with this on nightmare than on inferno though.
To avoid being grabbed while pushing the batteries in, well... you can destroy the last pustule while already moving in to the battery (to have some extra seconds when Nemmie goes back up). I start with the one in the very back first, because the other two are easier.
I rather not use coins.
Inferno kills you with one hit most of the time, which is actually less frustrating than seen Jill's getting up stuned just to get smashed again.
I have no problem dodging, I already know the perfect timing to do it right without coins, the problem is that sometimes when you shoot a pustule, acid will hit you stuning you and leaving you open for the next attack. Is there a way to avoid the acid at all?
With the iron defense coins, you will survive one of his arm-smashes (you'll be in 'Danger!', so you need to heal anyway), so they do give you an edge. The problem is that he tends to combo, which can be unpredictable here or there and that's what makes it hard.
The acid can be avoided. If you observe where the spread goes you can try to find a spot where it doesn't land (like in a shoot-em-up). That can go horribly wrong if you splat multiple pustules at once. Another option is to run right at it, so the acid might go over you in an arc, just don't get too close.
The only way to avoid acid is to be really slow and methodical and watch where it's going. Blasting multiple pustules at once is an easy way to die. I usually prefer trying to blast pustules that are as far away from me as possible (so if I stay on its left side I try to hit right side pustules and vice versa), they have less of a chance to hit you that way from what I've seen. You must still be careful with Nemesis spewing acid by himself from time to time though.
I tried to go easy on the pustules and be more aware of the acid.

That happened to me too while I was doing a few consecutive runs to hunt for achievements <.<
Oh well... more chances to practice I guess.
Based Nikolai.
We all know that it gets easier
About acid, dont be too greedy when shooting blisters.
After finally beating him on Inferno, here's a few tips for those who still struggle:
- get the infinite rocket launcher. Yeah, it may seem like cheating, but giving up right before the end or getting frustrated for doing this part over and over for a couple of hours doesn't help either.
- practice dodging. Unequip all of your weapons and just try to dodge his attacks without counterattacking for a couple of minutes. It really helps.
- don't get greedy! Only destroy the weak spots when you're able to do so without having to worry about his next attack.
The safest way to do this is standing 1/3 on either side of the screen and wait for his sweep attack. Dodge the first arm and counterattack by firing at two weak spots. Take out a 3rd one while he moves his other arm (which will be too far away to hit you when you're standing correctly) and get ready to dodge the 3rd sweep attack (without countering). Then just dodge anything else without attacking until he starts doing his sweep attack again.
It takes a while but you should be able to beat him fairly easily.
Good luck!
alot of people have made online articles to forums ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about getting hit alot and not getting through the final boss fight on nightmare.
I believe Capcom's intention was for players to use the shop items for the harder difficulties...
Otherwise, Capcom,if they intended Us to do the game without shop items, they would not have given us any bonus items.
I am already doing my inferno no damage runs but,I am really this close to using only 1 coin and 1 book....for the duration of the game.
I have the battle in this video at the end.
