Why does Carlos say: "you saved my life first"?
It was Carlos who saved Jill first! The only moment Jill helped Carlos - when she distracted Nemesis away fom train. And it was more like to avoid innocent casualties on train, not to help Carlos. And Carlos wasn't even in danger at that moment.

Jill saved Carlos life first just by being exist LOL.

Carlos is the real MVP of the game.Saves Jill from being curb stomped by Nemesis at the start, blows up a gas station to save Jill from Nemesis, finds her drooling at the seems and takes her to the hospital, finds and administers a cure as well as holds off a endless wave of zombies to protect Jill while the vaccine takes effect, then helps her fight Nemesis again at the end before getting into a punch up with Nikolai and was ready and willing to take a bullet so Jill could take him down and finally he kept his promise of not leaving Jill in a cruel, Carlos-less world. Carlos was the best thing about this remake and you are a liar if you say otherwise.

Because female empowerment. They have an inability to show humility and are very arrogant and not nice to work with. Also are not good team workers and will not give others credit where credit is due.

That's an assumption. Carlos would have been fine.

He literally saved her first with the rocket launcher moment at the very start of the game.

It is an assumption... But if Jill had remained with them, Nemesis would easily break through that gate and attack them in the train.. as he did anyway and killed everyone afterwards. Carlos was just being appreciative of her sacrifice.

What sacrifice? She did not sacrifice anything.... She was brave yes. But sacrifice implies sacrificing something aka losing something.

When you write a character wrong you get RE3R Jill. But also you get certain amount of people considering her a bad4ss and the best written Jill ever. That is why sites like Resetera and Reddit exist.
Anyway, he saved her not the other way around.
