Failed to pick up first crate after downing Nemesis
Did it to escape into vent to sewers and didn’t even knew he dropped stuff. Noticed in the achievement name then looked it up. Can I get the extended handgun mag another way later?

No. He actually drops two handgun upgrades but you need to down him twice before Jill distracts him away from the train.

First one is when he breaks through the wall, second is when you see the cutscene of him and the new zombie type

Oh well ... I just ran each time. Only downed him with fire barrels to escape into the vent.

they should have let you shoot that vent or something. Was pretty obvious what they were going for with that obvious loop and some barrels right there lol.

I like to try to down him before that because it was just so obvious.

You get a better handgun later

So the only time to get those handgun mods is at the very beginning of the game when most people's instincts are to just gtf away from Nemesis? Seems like a bad design... I didn't want to waste ammo shooting at him...

Yea I wouldn’t worry about it, the game is plentiful with ammo for the better guns anyway.

The boxes he drops are completely optional and not needed to get through the game. They're more of a bonus for any players who decide to take Nemesis on. Was the same in the original game.

Yea I missed the second upgrade on my first play through. Key is the grenades though. Even on hardcore one grenade downs him

my instinct was to throw a grenade at nemesis when he appeared. It worked and I got supply crates =)

I had my grenades in storage except for 1, which I used to clear 2-3 zombies that were blocking an entrance into the Subway Company as he was chasing me.
Infected Shogun Apr 8, 2020 @ 3:39pm
ohh damn yea definitely gotta keep the grenades for nemesis, makes his sections a breeze outside of the direct fights.

Are you talking about the burst fire model? The one that doesn't take any mods and wastes ammo? Better is kinda subjective.
wastes the worthless ammo that is only useful in the waste disposal fight anyway

You can snipe those two from the catwalk, he doesn't appear until you are at the bottom of those stairs in my experience.

I see you have not tried Nightmare or Inferno.
I see you and I were thinking the same thing.
No. But you're not that far into the game (yet), so you might as well just start over again...
