Tips for Hardcore Mode?
Going through second playthrough and wondering what to expect from hardcore mode. I can see that health drops a lot quicker, but other things to take note of? Ammo much more scarce? More zombies?

Yeah you basically nailed what hardcore is. Enemies have some more health too, though nemesis can still be dropped with 1 grenade in his 1st form.

you should roll through hardcore mode if its your second playthrough, especially if using the shop items.

nightmare/inferno you might need to practice dodging a bit

Hardcore isn't really different enough to require special tips.

don't worry about using ammo you have more then enough to kill all zombies in your path. Just don't miss and use explosive barrels. save grenade launcher and magnum for hunters and boss fights.

Learning how to dodge perfectly and counter attacking single zombies with a knife can help you out even if it can take long... Other than that avoid if you can and shoot and kill enemies on areas you must pass through again.

I dont suggest you to use shop items unless you really have problems with the difficulty level.

Game is more tense when you have to play carefully. Hardcore is perfectly doable without high skills.

Nightmare on the other side will require you to be able to perfect dodge quite often, specially with Carlos and of course in the infamous last boss.

yeah that's why i didn't use the shop.

hardcore should have been normal. You still ton of ammo by end of game. Nightmare is when it starts to matter a bit more. I would save store points for those run
