the original RE3 was also shorter than RE2 because RE3 focused on ONE main playable character which is Jill Valentine while Carlos was a short segment play. RE2 had TWO characters that it followed with their own set of events and interactions with two supporting characters that had short playable segment moments.
RE3 was never intended to be the real sequel but Capcom made it due to a Sony exclusive deal back then and they had to keep that.
RE3R will keep true to it being shorter than RE2R because of how the original games were made back then.
Puzzles in RE were always easy to solve.
I completed RE2 Remake in 4 and a half hours on first run, what's your point.
