Is there a mod to remove Nemesis yet?
had alot more fun in RE2 without an invincible enemy constantly tagging along behind me being an annoyance instead of scary. Hoping there is a mod or will soon be a mod to remove him so I can play at my own pace.

And to all those who will undoubtedly inform me that I'm playing the game wrong or shouldn't play a game the way I want to play, I'd like to say "K" in advance.

You can play at your own pace. The Nemesis encounters are all scripted. Just explore before or after his scripted scenes and you're perfectly fine.

Nemesis isn't a constant threat in this game, his encounters are scripted.

I had some fun forcing him to superman out of existance, then spiderman back repeatedly with ladders. But yes tbh, eventually it felt like a chore avoiding nemesis. I was very hyped for him, but he obviously teleports everywhere which really ruined the vibe for me sadly enough.

And eventually I started joking about it with my friends who were watching me play. *This seems like a good nemesis appearance locat- Oh look there he is.*

Eventually a chore avoiding him even though there are only 2 non scripted nemesis chases in the entire game?

One thing I hilariously found out was that if Nemesis is chasing you and you try to climb a ladder he somehow teleports to the top of the ladder and slam dunks you. This scared the hell out of me the first time it happened because I thought I could trick him.

Yeah tbh I had the same experience, his first appearance I was like "oh look at this open space and conveniently clean brick wall with no enemies around, would be a shame if Nemesis came crashing through there like the Koolaid man" And low and behold what happens. Then his second appearance I dodge behind him and up the ladder and sprinted the hell away only to have him teleport ahead of me yeeting full speed around a corner. I've played alien Isolation and can understand enemies that skulk around but teleporting like this is just not fun for me.

Removing Nemesis would remove half the fun of the game.

He isn't that scary after the first play through anyway. He goes down for 30 seconds after you wallop him, plenty of time to run around and do what you need to. Perfect your dodge rolls and you can pretty much ignore the guy.

It is almost hilarious with the two Attack coins. I can keep him down with the pistol.

You're a silly why do you even play the game when ur annoyed by him?
Nemesis is what makes this game what it allways was.
For my own i wish there was no scripted scenes i wish he would chase us through the game like Mr X in Resident Evil 2...
If you're annoyed because he was chasing you for like 2 Minutes then you should deinstall the game and rather play minecraft stupid toodler..

Weirdly enough, when he comes after you when you leave the power station after doing everything there, as you exit the gate and he drops in, i dodged him and ran up the ladder straight ahead, he took a swing for me but my ladder skill was so good he must of thought i was a ghost with how his arm passed through me, i got to the top laughing, he jumped up after me but never ladder hit, he went for another swing and i ran off laughing, didn't see him after this, he seemingly vanished off the roof and waited outside the railway building, because he can teleport.

Yeah Original Nemesis was more fun, he stalked you sorta like Mr.X but could only spawn in next area after you let the camera move away from the door (loading and all that back then), he roamed the streets randomly making him better, he didn't teleport ahead, you could lose him easily after two or three areas and might not meet him for ages. I wont say he wouldn't teleport, whilst he wouldn't just appear ahead of you like he does now, he obviously wasn't in constant movement like Mr.X is as it was PS1, the whole maps wasn't in use at once but he would wander or appear around the map, generally never ahead, he would usually come from behind areas you left to give the idea he was following you. It meant it was rare for him to be in front as he is tracking you, it meant when you lost him, if you went back you might find him but he wouldn't be in the next area waiting. Back then it was said he was tracking you, so he followed your tracks, it was more fun, random encounters added a scare factor and made him annoying in a fun way but meant you could run ahead a few areas and come back to explore if you missed something.

Nah, I think I'll just play the game in a way where I have fun instead. I'm sorry if you're annoyed that I'll play the game my own way and not the way you want but I suggest you get used to the idea of people not playing the game the same way you would.

I would not mind removal of nemesis because I consider the entire character incredibly lame period.

same with any character like this, I consider it a cop out in the horror genre.

There is only one short section where he follows you around after that its entirely scripted highly linear chase sequences in locations where you are not even meant to explore anything.
=POSTA= Apr 7, 2020 @ 3:29pm
That's ironic tho...Nemesis is only chasing the player for like 30 minutes and then you just watch cutscenes, over-scripted gameplay with quick time events.

I wouldn't mind him being removed cause his existence is pointless, while of course the game is suppose to be about him.

If he would chase around the same way as Mr. X, then I, and probably a very large part of the fans would love it.

I fear to think that Capcom listened to all complains about Mr. X and they just straight butchered Nemesis for the pleasing of casuals. Just like it also happened with the unlockable items: "We know most of you can't finish the game on harder difficulties, so eh...kill some zombies for points and unlock 'em infinite stuff!" How very exciting.
LordKuraba Apr 7, 2020 @ 3:46pm
There's only three or four sections in the game where he chases you and only one of those occurs when you may still have items to find if you didn't already, the others are linear chase sequences that wouldn't have anything to explore even if Nemesis wasn't there. The rest of his encounters are scripted boss fights so removing him would leave you with a lot of nothing to do in an already short game.

I get why some people didn't like Mr. X, I thought he was kind of annoying too, but Nemesis is nothing like him.
sno0ks Apr 7, 2020 @ 5:03pm
1.) He's barely in the game and serves only as the occasional set piece or boss battle.

2.) You are unironically a scrub and fake gamer if you had a problem with Mr. X. He was a great part of that game and was never annoying if you're not a moron. Your skyrim avatar only supports this assessment that you are a fake gamer. That is the most boomer-tier bullcrap game ever released. Only people over 60 actually enjoy Skyrim. You should be ashamed.
