Would have been much more interesting if this was a pure Co-op mode, like L4D2. But instead we get this crap that nobody asked for.

Eh it's quite forgettable.....just takes me out of survival horror with all the silly numbers, machine gun turrents peppering players, and in general everyone running around like it's Black Friday in a mad dash for stuff on the ground (which there seems to be tons of, negating the primary element of survival horror, scarcity)

Resis has nothing to do with mercs missing. Different studios. Capcom may have bundled Resis because they had no mercs mode and nothing else really, but that's not Resis's fault. Blame Capcom for not learning anything from RE2 and making this game worse. RE3 is still a pretty alright game, but compared to RE2 and even 7 it's pretty terrible. Similarly to how DS3 is a terrible sequel to 1 and 2, but if you'd view it as a standalone game without the Dark Souls name it would be received a lot better.

Survival horror? Like RE3? There's no horror or survival in this game, at least not any of the modes you get from the get-go. I haven't played Inferno yet, but nightmare/inferno can't fix what's broke. You can add as many insta kills and Nemesis walks into safe rooms as you want, now you just rely even more on the dodge. The dodge should've never been in the game period.
