Running out of ammo during nightmare nemesis rooftop fight

Is there a strategy to get through the fight without running out of ammo?
I tried trigering the generator with my pistol to get more damage out of it but seems like I still fall short.

I was almost out of ammo before the fight. Lame if you aren't given enough ammo to finish the fight though. I'll try and see if the generator does more damage than the pistol bullets and cheese it that way if this works.

I still have to do a Nightmare run, maybe assault coins could help you, doing more damage to enemies means saving more ammo.
Samurai Edge gun is also extremely good.

I guess I could do another run in hard mode and go back to this save later, cause I just went nightmare mode first run.

DODGE Zombies in these modes. Don't kill one when you see them.

I didn't know about the dodge button until this fight and didn't expect to have one at all, but this is probably the best advice for this fight. I'll retry from an earlier save point.

You know you can't go nightmare mode until you beat hardcore right? hmm..

Just trying Nightmare, with 2 assault coins and samurai edge it takes 2 hits to the head to kill a zombie, it is very overpowered.

I guess OP is playing on hardcore, since there isn't a generator on the rooftop in that fight on Nightmare.

Edit: Ah you also have to hit the tank on Nemesis back until it explodes to start the second phase.
