Dodge Mechanic /w Mouse and Keyboard
I am not able to get the dodge mechanic to work with the mouse and keyboard. I currently have it bound to mouse button 3 on my mouse. I keep hitting the button as soon as I see a zombie, and I still do not doge. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

you mean the perfect dodge or just the fast-step?

It sounds like your describing just pressing [dodge] and nothing else. If so; you need to use it in conjunction with directional input. holding the direction you wish to dodge and hitting the dodge button. I'm rubbish at hitting frame perfect dodges but can still get it. You don't get a large window. (maybe you do on easy I can't say)

Otherwise, if you are using directional dodge, bind it to spacebar. Spamming my mouse button when trying to escape zombies is NOT what i'd call optimal. I'd rather this mechanic be bound to something that isnt going to slide across the table when i repeatedly hit it at a rapid pace. Thus i've accepted once i'm caught, [Mouse 1] isnt going to save me.

Successful dodges i feel come from dodging the moment you're too close and BEFORE you think theyre going to lunge at you. I tend not to get hit that way.

I believe it is called the perfect dodge, where it allows you to execute a stronger slow time attack.

I will give this a try and bind the key to the keyboard and then practice directional / key inputs to see if that fixes it.
In order to perform perfect dodge/punch, you have to quickly ADS and immediately press Dodge/Charge, but you have to time it right which it may take some practice when it comes to muscle memory training.
