RE Resistance - solo mode available?

Quick question about Resistance - I have heard that it is possible to play solo (offline?) with AI (bots?). How does it work? Can I play as both: survivor and Mastermind?

Sounding like there is no solo mode.

There's a practice or tutorial mode some such, but that's not the same as a real solo mode.

They could always add something later...but yeah.

Can you do a private match with just 1 survivor and 1 mastermind? I really only play games online with my brother, so I hope that this is possible. I know there’s no bots, but I am hoping that they at least allow you to play a private match with less than 5 people in it. If anyone can confirm if this is true, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
