Unlike re2 remake, the hardcore difficulty has autosaves/checkpoints enabled, saving DOES NOT require an ink ribbon because there are no ink ribbons, zombies do less damage than they do in re2 remake, and they just throw hip pouch inventory slot increases at you everywhere. That's to name just a few. Also, if you want to play the hardest difficulty of the game you have to beat the game multiple times and even on the hardest difficulty there are still no ink ribbons. I'm amazed at how badly capcom ♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game up all things considered.

This has got to be some kind of record for 'em. Recently learned Jill's classic costume has shorts instead of a skirt too and her RE1 costume looks like a bad cosplay attempt. They butchered Claire's classic outfit, now they've butchered two of Jills. There's levels to merely having poor awareness and then straight up not caring lol.

I value accuracy over anything else, it shows someone cares for attention to detail and doesn't feel cheap or rushed. Although I guess "hurr durr remake / redesign, not a remaster!" tier answers are all you can really expect at this point.

Checkpoints, autosaves, objectives on screen, markers, waypoints...yay!

Nobody has confirmed or denied 1 hit danger yet...I've seen people supposedly play in hardcore but haven't noticed their life bars as of yet...none of them showcased them getting damaged. But the no ink ribbons thing is not a big deal...they gave you a zillion in RE2 remake hardcore as well.

It did almost nothing for RE2 remake as they handed them out like candy. The only way to run out is to stupidly save every few minutes.

I refunded my copy today, I was late to try out the demo and then after hearing all the feedback of what they removed beyond just the gore and physics downgrades, I was like ok I'm out. They literally cut some of my absolute favorite things from the original RE3. The nerfed Hardcore mode is just icing on the disappointment cake. Haven't been this let down by Capcom since RE6. The RE-Engine ain't enough to keep me on board.

still your first playthrough you never knew when you'd find another, it was a baller mechanic I'm seriously considering a refund
