Because there's suddenly shorts under her skirt, it's not even close to the original costume. It's an elaborate ruse by Japanese es jay dubyas to trick you. You could never see under her skirt in the original game, and now there's angles up Jill's ass in the Remake so there totally would be upskirts in this one had they made it 100% the same instead of 90% the same.

It's actually more faithful to the original than Claire's was in RE2:R, and barely anyone made a fit about that.

I like my coffee, but seriously, thank god for mods, I played Jill with her true RE3 outfit from a mod, I rather use it than this trash custome with shorts from capcom.

Y'all really need to chill. If Capcom was legitimately pandering to SJW Claire's classic costume in REmake 2 woulda been patched to have the sleeves. Also let's remember that that same costume caught a lot of flack because of how much skin it showed from fans. People were so pissed about a t-shirt and some gloves, now ya'll mad over a skort? Really? Like I love Jill as much as the next fan but, i don't need to look up her skirt to really appreciate her. The overall classic look is there same as it was with Claire and Leon in the last game. the entitlement is strong AF. There are millions outlets out there if you need to see Jill in a skirt.
