Gra może i jest krótka, ale za to ciekawa. Jak to wydawcy napisali, jest to spin-off pierwszej części kultowej gry Alien Shooter.

Gra oferuje dziesięć nowych poziomów, graficznie nowy sklep, osiągnięcia, oraz mamy możliwość teraz stawiania strzelających działek, które same się ulepszają po wykonaniu misji. Dzięki czemu mamy większe pole rażenia jak potwory będę na nas napierały.

Gdy zaczynamy nową kampanię, możemy oczywiście wybrać poziom trudności. Dla prawdziwych weteranów, przejście gry na maksymalnym poziomie będzie stanowiło bardzo duże wyzwanie. Nie miałem żadnego problemu, ani crasha, ani lagu podczas grania. Cena też jest do zaakceptowania, dlatego mogę polecić tę grę każdej osobie oraz kolekcjonerom gier Alien Shooter lubiących tę serię.

Przyjemna, krótka gra.

I am writing this review for people who are familiar with this series. For those who are not, I will give a quick summary: Play Alien Shooter Revisited or Zombie Shooter instead. Much better games.

One of the two latest entries into the Alien Shooter franchise, this game is based off of the engine for the first game.

Graphics are about the same as the first Alien Shooter 1 based games due to massive asset reusage. This is not a problem in and of itself, but something to note regardless.

Music wise, it's the same tracks that get reused throughout all of the Alien Shooter games, and frankly, I'm tired of them. *Please*, get new music. Or remix the tracks. Something, anything.

What's new, you ask? Well, a new turret mechanic has been added. You can hold up to six turrets, depending on your Strength stat, and lay them down at any time. Well, it's supposed to be at any time. I've found the key sometimes just doesn't work. The turrets are usually helpful, but for the first two levels they're not great. They upgrade automatically as you go along in the game. No need to find upgrades or purchase them.

So, why am I giving this a bad review? It's simple. the difficulty balance is off. On Normal, I couldn't beat the game. A first for a series veteran like myself. So, I tried Easy. Still couldn't do it. Then, I tried Casual and I was finally able to beat it. The last two levels are just too damned punishing. Somehow, they finally made a game with too many enemies. You just don't have the firepower to keep up! The turrets also don't do enough damage later on if you're on higher difficulties than Casual.

The levels are also bad. They're just kinda boring now, little mazes with seemingly no rhyme or reason to them. Very small, too.

Combine all of that with much worse level design and the music overuse being so severe that it has become grating on the ears, well... Just buy Alien Shooter Revisited or Zombie Shooter if you don't got 'em. They made a free game long ago with the same engine, Theseus: Return of the Hero. That one's pretty decent too. If you've already played those, upgrade to Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded or Zombie Shooter 2 or Alien Shooter 2: The Legend.

This is definitely the worst game they've put out. I'm sad. Actually sad. I was hoping this game'd be decent. :( I don't have high expectations for these games. I know what they are. They're solid but nothing super special. But most of 'em still got a place in my heart for being so single focused on a goal: killing as many monsters/zombies as possible. And this game just prevents you from doing that eventually. It's sad.

this is the first newer sigma team game i have played and it plays almost exactly like the original alien shooter that came out back in 2003 with some minor improvements new levels and a new gimmick.

what was really good about this game was how they changed some of the enemies from the original game to make them more effective and to mix it up a bit, and the new turrets are essential to play this game if you dont use them you die.

and what was not very nice about this game is that it reuses almost all the assets from their older games with almost nothing noticeably new apart from a big acid barrel a new weapon for a enemy a new boss and the turrets, all the music is reused except for maybe 1 new track? other then that new track everything is pretty much the same from ASV. the ui in this game is entirely designed around mobile games which is not very pleasant because this is a PC PORT.

but then again its just $5 so its not a bad deal so go for it if you really want.

Alien Shooter - Last Hope

Alien Shooter - Last Hope is the newest title in the legendary lineup from the Alien Shooter games. And like every other Alien Shooter title, Last Hope also brings in that familiar taste of intense gory goodness.

In addition to that familiar intense fun shoot ‘em up experience, Last Hope is also bringing in a new chapter to the legendary series with 10 new missions.

Plot: The War against the monsters still rages on. Humanity is surviving on thin lines.

The Opposition forces are running dangerously low on resources. And the number of battle-worthy men and women decreases every day.

One of the research labs managed to create a weapon ready to strengthen the Opposition forces. Which will allow humanity a better fighting chance.

Now you have to reach the research lab in order to find the weapon and improve it on the battlefield.

Which is stated on the store page of the game, which I thought was a regular handheld weapon but later I realized the store page was mentioning a Turret system. And you must use them in battle and fight your way to an upgrade terminal in order to upgrade them.

But the ultimate goal is to find and destroy the tunnels, pathways, and teleportation devices used by the monsters.

Gameplay: Like any other Alien Shooter title, Alien Shooter – Last Hope also presents that great intense gory shoot ‘em up gameplay.

It’s gory, it's bloody, it's chaotic, and a hell of a lot of fun. I mean, come on . . . who doesn’t like mowing down hordes of monsters with a Minigun!

The base gameplay is super simple, yet functional, and comes with simple yet effective movement machines with WASD/Arrow key/ Right-click to move.

Left-click to shoot, with an ever-present white crosshair. And 1-9 number keys for changing weapons or you can just use your mouse wheel.

The base gunplay is still the same and features weapons such as Two-handed Pistols, Shotgun, Grande Launcher, Minigun, Rocket Launcher, Freeze Rifle, Plasma Rifle, Flame Thrower, and a Magma Minigun.

Each weapon, except for the two pistols and the turrets, can be either unlocked and bought from the end mission store or can be found in hidden locations.

I would like to say each weapon features both positives and negatives, but some are so good that they don’t have any negatives. Although clunky shooting machines do count, which all of them have in different forms?

For example, the Magma Minigun is just awesome with its incredible fire rate and DPS, and is an all-round monster-killing machine, but comes with a flaw; at any given moment the gun stops working and won’t fire for unknown reasons or a bug!

The same goes for every other gun, except the pistols; all of them have some sort of flaw. But the flaws didn’t hold me back from mowing down monsters; with nine weapons, there’s plenty for all of them.

In regards to ammo, after mowing down hundreds of monsters at a time, there seems to be no shortage of ammo! But in a good way; as one of your weapons dries up, you can switch to another one with the click of a button and pray to god that you have more ammo drops for your op weapons, such as the Magma Minigun.

You can get ammo by searching around the facility, and get ammo drops by killing the monsters. In addition, you can fill up your inventory from the shop at beginning of each mission, in exchange for money.

Now let’s get to the main feast, the monsters themselves. Last Hope features quite a few different types of monster to get through, and at the very end, all of them at once! But I’m asking for more; I want to see more unique monsters added.

Each monster has its cousin variant, with unique colors and more muscle power, and some even with added blasters on their back.

Going through all of these monsters was so satisfying. Throwing down multiple turrets at a check-point and blasting down entire hordes never felt so rewarding!

The Monster AI felt rather dumb, though. Sometimes even after seeing me up close they would not come after me if I got into a different room!

I got really upset after finishing my 10th mission.

The game felt rather short, even with the last two missions taking so long to finish, including killing the entire horde. The game needs more content.

World design: Those who have played through the previous Alien Shooter titles will appreciate the classic top-down pixelated world of Alien Shooter.

Each sector of the facility was well designed and looked pretty good. They all looked almost the same, which did not bother me too much, although I would have appreciated a bit more diversity with the sector designs and rooms.

Sound effects and music: An excellent selection of background music that really accentuated the intense gameplay, although it did get repetitive rather quickly.

When it comes to sound effects, we shouldn’t really be too optimistic for such a small title, but I must say Last Hope did a decent job at it. Mind you, some aspects, such as the shotgun sounds, were horrifically bad.

In conclusion, Alien Shooter – Last Hope turned out to be a great addition to the franchise. It’s fun, it's gory, it's bloody, it’s chaotic and it's just an overall great game for the price.

Although there are some shortcomings, such as only having 10 missions and a survival mode, I hope the issues get resolved with more content updates.

Oh well. Here we go again... The Last Hope is another version of the first iteration of Alien Shooter. Slightly refurbished levels, same enemies, and, quite notably, a good game pace and balance!

There's nothing really new, except that idea of upgradable turrets which you can set as you like, to aid yourself in the direst situations. But it works! The game drive is ok, the optimization for Win10 and resolutions 2k+ is ok... What else you can ask for, from a twin-stick shooter? A decent story, maybe? Superb visuals? Oh, c'mon!

This game is short, moderately challenging, and adequately priced. If you play such no-brainer shooters from time to time, then it's a good pick, to spend an evening. And if you don't have time for shooters like this, it's okay again! Just don't buy it! My mark is 7/10. A good game, for what it's worth.

Another game in the Alien shooter franchise. Literally everything is recycled from previous games. Only new thing is the ability to pick up and drop powerful turrets. Because of the new turrets the weapons have been nerfed, except the pistols which seem to have been buffed for some reason. Oh, there is a new final boss enemy that's super tough.

Right now almost all the achievements are glitched so I've had to get my friend SAM to unlock them, and leaderboards don't seem to work.

If you love the Alien Shooter franchise and want more, go ahead and buy this. Otherwise play the other games first.

It is a 2021 Alienshooter game, and yet Sigma team won't allow players to select missions in Campaign mode.

1. There's lots of things that suggest it's a port of a mobile game (the biggest giveaway being the UI and the way it functions).

2. The game works sorta better in 1920x1080 than the OG alien Shooter (the game doesn't require an exe hack for that, doesn't crash on some levels and tiles don't flicker) yet there's still no interface scaling in-game.

3. The entire level design revolves around blowing up enemy spawners with explosives that are sometimes hidden deep in the enemy lines (which means you'll have to bruteforce your way through nearly infinite conga lines of death purely relying on medkits, pickups that either randomly drop from the aliens or the ones that are just there along the way or just the will of the god of your choice) and using turrets that are generously scattered across the levels and upgrade automatically the further you progress into the game.

4. The final level might as well be nigh impossible (at least on the hard difficulty) since the game decided to abruptly finish the level not even letting me kill the final boss who has ludicrous amounts of health.

Sigma Team somehow finally made an Alien Shooter game with too many enemies to the point that even the newly introduced turrets can't always stop them.

Just play Alien Shooter 1 or 2.
