Sandbox/Free Play/Peaceful Mode?

I was wondering if there's a mode where there are no enemies and/or a mode where you don't need to gather supplies. In other words, is there a "sandbox/free play/peaceful" mode option?

Please note I am asking about an OPTION. I don't want to change the game in its entirety for those who love it as it is.

Yep, a creative mode is planned. We don't know when it will get added, but it's planned.

@DeadPoolX The game already has a "Custom" mode where you can edit the settings to be very close to what you want. You still need to mine, but there is so much material that you do it only few times. Since enemies are required for progress, they are still there but super weak and dealing no dmg to you or to the ship.
