I like the silver elf myself. Dont recall his or her name. The class starts quite slowly but once you unlock the magical strikes, I really enjoy using him.

The main disadvantage of the silver elf is that he/she is rather slow in comparison with the assasin or spear warden. If those three are together in one team, the silver elf often comes too late because the other two and the ranged attacks fron mages and archers have already killed most of the enemies.

Here is my company! (male / female)
- First line Elf Silver (m) and Ulfhednar (m)
-Second line Huscarle (f) and Cleric (f)
-Third line Hunter (m) and Warlock (f) ...

The equipment is extremely important and my Siver Elf is excessively equipped Tank.
I take a lot of fun playing.
For me these Demon's Rise will be the nice surprise of the year 2018.:cozyhoi4eagle:

I cant go past the Shadow Elf for all around utility. It heals, it has multiple shots, which exterminate everything once you add some range and boost the crit chance until every shot is a crit.
It also summons, just super useful.

Second has to be the Werewolf. He eats bosses for breakfast in one round. Maybe two, if on insane.

Three is a tough choice. Ice mage brings amazing utility, Hunter is a fantastic toolbox, but I'm going to have to give the Spear Warden a shout out. Epic heal, good skills, and being range two he is super useful. And given that most of the scary enemies are range two, it means the Warden can counter attack while most of the other tanks cannot.

The cleric is my favorite class by a long shot for the following reasons: (a) the cleric's support skills are second only to the bard; (b) the cleric has more combat utility than the bard thanks to a range 2 weapon type; and, (c) the cleric has a wizard-class AP pool.

So, the cleric can buff a party, melee with enemies, and still have AP to spare. The trouble is tanking, but that's offset via equipment and buffs.

Would you want your 2-tile weapon classes to tank? They don't need to, no?
