How to shoot off and stick to something else without dying?

I was watching a top video in-game and the guy was able to shoot off, push spikes all together in one area and not lose a splat blob until the very end. What's he doing to achieve this?

Hey Saturn2888,

Once you unlock the air-strike move, you can move around without destroying your Splatter by *not* fully charging your shot. The Splatter then automatically sticks to surfaces (that are not spikes or slides).
