After seeing so many positive reviews (omg best game ever 10/10) and finding out that it comes from the creators of 999, which is one of my all time favorite games, I couldn't wait to play this one.
What I really loved about 999 was that despite it's anime look it felt realistic. It was intense and all of the characters behaved like real people.

10 hours into AI I am so disappointed. The presentation is ridiculous. It's so anime, it makes you cringe. How can you make a murder mystery game and add unrealistic, over the top characters and anime humor to it? It completely ruins the mood. Like why should I worry about A-Set's death if all of the characters are superhumans that can walk through bullets and outwit hired guns with porn. It's not even funny.
I like the characters even though some of them are really dorky but mixing slice of life friendship power slapstick humor with a murder story simply doesn't work.
How in the hell is this getting serious 10/10 reviews? People who are really into anime have such awful taste.

it IS the WEAKEST work of Uchi. Plot has no interesting ideas. Its just a summer action movie with no depth.
full on animu characters and fight scenes are destroying any immersion. So when game tries to make you feel scared for characters in the last action scene I can only laugh. You have a superhuman girl who can dodge bullets point blanck that somehow loses to drug addict

Crappy translation. Crappy animations. Crappy core idea (flowchart). Cheap humor that is killed by translations. Weird routes for the sake of having routes. Cheap english dub with no regards to how it fits.

But I think everyone is so 10/10 on this, because this is a 3D VN with point-n-click quest mechanics. In other words - it is new in terms of gameplay (at least for me as I usually don't play VNs). Because of tons of crap and sameish games steam pours out, this one caches the eye. Even through it's so cheaply made. Oh and japanese voice acting. That stuff is hugely underestimated.

Apparently, you don't really get the point. There are 1 million games/movies/whatever already about detectives and murder mysteries and all that, so of course the murder mysteries aren't really what's important for the plot. Oh, and it *is* funny.

But you know you don't have to like it? It's fine if you don't.

Dub's great, action scenes are ♥♥♥♥ and inconsistent, Date's porn magazine activated superpowers that originally were just reaction time, but in another route become literal super-speed. It's not a great murder mystery, has a fair few plot holes and loose threads, and Iris being Iris in general was disappointing.

Overall, 6/10. The core cast of objectively protagonist characters were the highlight of the game, and I really would have liked to see the director make a straight up, single-route murder mystery instead of Virtue's Last Reward meets Psycho-Pass.

And this game doesn't even have SHIFTing so the flowchart is completely out of place here.
