Why, after 5 years so we still have the same connection issues?

My son wanted to play Among us as a family. We have this game on PC, iOS, Xbox and now Switch right. Xbox version can't play on a local server and can't connect to a private game with the room code. iOS sees the local host (pc) no problem but also can't connect to a game using a room code. Switch can't see the local games iOS or PC (doesn't matter) and can't join using the room code. So I do what every good gamer geek does. I check the version of the game EVERY VERSION ON EVERY DEVICE IS DIFFERENT!!!!! They are all installed with the latest version, and they are all different.

How is it.. that after 5 years, this game still has all the same connection issues it did during the pandemic? Like seriously?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

So much for playing it today as a family.
