Idk. It costs $2 to remove ads on mobile and $5 to get it on Steam (in the US). But, I see mobile ports of games generally priced cheaper than console/PC versions. I think it's because mobile players are more used to getting games for free and dealing with mtx/ads. So the lower cost is supposed to be more enticing to them.

and the PC controls are preferable for gameplay.

The only thing that costs in the PC edition is the cosmetic/pet bundles.

If you want to play among us and dont care about cosmetics and discord voice chat, mobile is fine it costs $0 to buy the game there and you get the experience and fun you have on PC (Unless you want to play with voice chat and pets).

I don't find skins and no pop up ads that can be easily closed in an instant by pressing X (the ads in this game are pop ups and don't feel common, so you pretty much forget they exist. No ads for $5 would not be worth it) worth the money and other's don't too. I agree with Adi here.

Well, ads exist for a reason. But if you like directly supporting innersloth, that is fine ofc. But most people want to see if a product is worth the price, especially if there is a cheaper alternative.

Just use a VPN if you are so worried. Also pc controls beat mobile. Movement with wasd feels more natural than with a jystick controlled by thumb.
