Apparently this is due to a shadowban. If you are able to connect with friends, but not on your own you may be affected by this. I cannot play this game since day 1 and support told me i was banned due to illegal software. Sorry that the false positive ban hammer hit you. :(

The codes don't work if your region is different from theirs. In the online menu in the bottom right set your region to europe or north america or asia for it to work. That's how I fixed it anyways.

I get errors, I just have to enter the code like 20 times until it works

Hey!! So!! anyone having this problem, check at the bottom right corner of the screen when you log onto Among Us, and there will be a little world icon. it will either say North America, Europe, or Asia. make sure if you're playing with a friend to change it to whatever your friend's setting is on, or vice versa. it is on the screen where you choose to create a game, find a game, or put in a code.
