WARNING!!! FRAUD

Major warning for readers and potential buyers.
I'm sorry for stirring the pot but I am calling this game and it's owners out for FRAUD.

Long story short. They implemented the "Age constrictor" which blindsighted my friend into just clicking to agree to the legal changes but didn't realize you had to input your age. now Among us thinks he's like 7. He is unable to play on his account [which he use to before this happened] so he got in touch with Innersloth to help change the age to the correct numbers. the Among us support Cayle said and I quote "place your e-mail into the guardian's e-mail and give yourself permission. It's an easy process.". ok so he tries it but it takes him to something that asks FOR HIS CREDIT CARD INFORMATION!!!!!!


For a game that gets hacked this is not safe so I e-mailed them and got the same Cayle person and they proceed to tell me this
"Please be informed that the new account system is intended to protect our younger users. and have partnered up with "SUPERAWESOME" for this feature"
NOWHERE on the Steam store page does it talk about this new company in the partnership and in the categories it doesn't state that they are "third party user" like other games and that despite among us being on Steam it doesn't use the Steam's Age/information as clearance.

PS. I'm sorry protecting your younger audience HOW; I have seen disgusting names of users and banned words be able to bypass the protection system of said words or be worded such a way to give off antisemitic tones. No...this is not a game for children....also How is this a game for kids when you break other people's necks, stab in the back, impale them or ect. Just because it's all cartoony and cute looking DOESN'T make it child friendly

Yes it is his fault but he's trying to do is to get it changed and if it's asking for age in the first place than it's obviously a third party program that doesn't use steam. Please read my First post

I'm the friend Cameron is referring to, and I fully stand by his statement as that has been my experience. I'm also one of many people that has fallen foul of this new system
Yes I was hasty and clicked through the age verification, however it shouldn't exactly be hard to remedy this and my steam account is adult anyway.

Personally I think you should be more appreciative when someone brings an issue up with a product, it's for everone's benefit, including the developers.
Do you also not think that it's reasonable for innersloth, who claim they are unable to change my game age to an adult, to expect me to hand over my credit card details?
