Error MismatchedProductUserIDs

Since I reset my computer I can't login anymore... it always say "Error MismatchedProductUserIDs"
I restart the game, my computer, I deleted the game but its always the same issue.
anyone have ideas how to fix that ?

No workarounds yet, unless you have a second steam account that you can use with family sharing. Will have to wait for bug fix

If you're having issues signing
into accounts
(MismatchedProductUserIDs
and LinkAccountFail), make
sure you are not trying to log
into multiple accounts on your
platform (Steam/Google
Play/Epic/etc.) - right now the
game only supports connecting
one account to the game. This
also could happen if you are
logged into the same account
on multiple devices.

The problem is that this is the entire point of steam. People have steam on all their computers in the first place, and notwithstanding that there's a bug where any configuration change to your system makes it irreparably think that you're on a different system

would signing out on the other device allow me to run it on another or do I have to wait for a fix

I'm also facing this same problem. I have two computers at home. I created my account on one of them and now I can't use my account on the other computer. It seems that Among Us does not currently support logging into the same account on two different devices. For my bad luck, I logged into the computer that I rarely use.

There is no known workaround to solve this problem. This is an internal problem for Innersloth, only they can solve it.

It is unfortunate. Right when they launched a new map and fixed some bugs, you only become unable to try the new version of the game when you are forced to use a terrible Quick Chat system because your account is broken. Android had a similar problem with Google Play Games account tokens.

I already gave up Among Us. I'm going to leave it for 2-3 weeks and play something else in that time until they fix this Cyberpunk 2077 release. My hype is already dead.

I feel you. I bought this game and only have been using my laptop for weeks.. I do have an other pc at my parents but Im 99% that no one has not opened it or went to steam with it.
Im currently suspecting if me trying to play Kingdom Hearts on Epic games ruined this for me. D:

Ya but I still would like to use in game chat.. and I accidentally clicked randomize username so now I dont like my in-game username either. :(

You can change your name luckily without signing in.
Open this file with a text editor:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Innersloth\Among Us\playerPrefs

The very first bit of text is the name, just change it and save the file. Open the game and now your name will be listed in your Login card, and you can play online with whatever name youwant.

This is a really shortsighted update from the devs - I cant think of a single positive thing this does for the player.

I signed in on my tablet and now I can't play without quickchat only on my PC. What the f*** Innersloth do you expect me to buy the game twice just to play it on another device?! Fix this bs now or I will be demanding a refund! There wasn't even any warning this would happen when I signed in so it's essentially trapping me into making another purchase - just pure shortsightedness, lack of clarity and greed from the developers!

The whole point of Steam is to be able to have your game library in the cloud, accessible to multiple devices - you are undermining the platform you sell the game on by doing this. You are punishing loyal players who:

1) May play the game on multiple devices, such as a tablet and a pc and a phone, which are obviously accessible or inaccessible in different scenarios (such as going away for a weekend).

2) Might want to buy a new pc who now have to buy the game again???

3) Might want to show the game to a friend at their house will now not be able to demonstrate proper gameplay and will be forced to use quickchat (god this could be even worse if they fall for the 'sign in' trap since they are locking their account to a device that doesn't even belong to them!)

4) Might have an IP address change on the original device - I don't know how you verify device but I'd assume it would be an IP Address - there could be potential issues with a dynamic IP maybe?



C'mon Innersloth - you had a good thing going here. Don't ruin it with greed or low IQ dev decisions.

I've got the same problem, very frustrating. Unspeakably bad game management by the devs.
