Cheating is becoming out of control

Alright, so I've played a decent amount of Among Us (about 10 hours on mobile and over 20 on PC), and I think it's a pretty fun game. However, I have been finding a bunch of cheaters recently. These cheaters consist of doing things like, instantly ending emergency meetings, changing colors and names of players rapidly, hacking the chat and spamming it with racist and sexual comments from an innocent player, and other things like that. These cheaters are ruining the fun and are making this game un-enjoyable. Unfortunately the anti cheat isn't doing a very good job of banning these players. This game will die quickly and have a similar fate to Fall Guys if the devs don't do anything quick. Since this game has crossplay, mobile players are noticing these cheaters too, meaning that there is no current platform without cheaters. If a developer is reading this, please do something about the cheaters. Please improve the anti cheat and do it fast. I love this game, but I don't want it to become infested with cheaters. They need to be dealt with properly or many people are going to leave.

I haven't seen the chat spam yet, but it doesn't sound fun. One thing i've noticed, at least with my cases, is that they're usually lagging around the map. It's a great game and it may be frustrating at times, but cheating? Like seriously, where's the fun in that. And ghosting is another problem, maybe there will never be a solution to that as it usually involves a third-party.
Putting that aside, overall, it's a great game, minus the "parents", the people who join the wrong language filter, and etc.

Yep I agree. Personally I think cheating is the biggest upcoming problem with this game. The people who join in the wrong language filter and the people who just immedietally leave are pretty annoying, but don't completely ruin the match, unlike cheaters. And I also have seen people lag around the map, but i don't know if they are cheating, it's probably just their bad internet.

Yeah, I agree. I used to love this game, but it's been increasing difficult to get a serious game going. There is too much hacking/cheating going on. I mostly see the hack where people already know who the impostor is right at the start. There is also a lot of collusion going on, which isn't hacking, but it does take the fun out of the game.

Yeah its a problem. Just left a lobby where it was set to 2 imposters, round started with 3 and then instantly was lost the second one of them killed someone. Seen people teleport, seen people insta end voting sessions, saw someone tonight force everyone to vote for an imposter the second the voting screen came up. We weren't even in the voting phase yet just instant resolve.

This game is really popular right now so the hackers are many but if it keeps like this with more and more crazy cheats then it's not going to stay that way for long. I have more hacker matches than legitimate ones lately, it's just that bad.

Walking through walls
Instantly knowing who the impostor is

Oh god, discord cheaters are probably even worse because they are less obvious

You would think this, but in my experience most Discord cheaters literally say "It's X, Im in chat/next to them irl and they told me"

My experience is that they don't tell anyone until a few rounds later. Very annoying

it makes it harder though when ppl come and just leave when they dont even get imposter. they need to figure out a better way to punish when you leave. but if players do it that often i imagine they find ways around whats in place now.

all i can say though, just try to find active discords that have players. maybe even streamers with lower counts who might have something. even if only lets say 3 to 5 players. at least then you can either do 1 imposter. or public but host he match so when those guys come, if they are still in lobby ban them. i have banned a few now when i host. if not, we leave and start another server. etc.

i do hope they also add some kind of add button ingame that you can add players to a friends list and join that way, etc. so if you do find some players you enjoy gaming with that you can click and add them.

a lot of the servers i have played dont matter. its just easier with a mic. but they all usually mute when the match starts, and only those alive still can unmute and discuss things. few dont have mics but at least you can hear, and then just takes you a bit longer to get your point across. also some will use when others talk to much and wont let others talk lol.

Discord cheaters are the worst. Especially ones who just vote you out and accuse you even if you have done nothing wrong. Have yet to meet any cheaters myself.

I've encountered a true cheater exactly once. They killed someone, body was reported, then somehow managed to get out of the meeting where they killed everyone (including the other imp) and the game instantly ended.
