Proximity chat could easily be just an option like everything else. There are already mods that allow this and I have seen many youtubers play using it. It adds a different dynamic just like anonymous voting, being able to see tasks, and impostor confirmations. It doesn't need rebaling of anything honestly, what flow would it change? If you can only hear people near you and not someone across the map.
That would definitely be the best way of doing it, but I think you underestimate just how much this would change things. Right now, imposters can count on crew only being able to coordinate during a meeting. Proximity chat changes that, and it means they can communicate without a time limit or larger issue to address. That's a huge buff to crewmates.
now this is the guy.
close enough but not enough to be the winner in my discussion
so what we get from this discussion it have it's pros and cons, maybe like the winner comment said if we can make it by choice whether you want to join a voice lobby or not, but still the game is good the way it is now, we're all here gave some of our free time to have a pointless discussion with a stranger to try to improve the game.
