STRMISS = String Missing. Game cannot locate the translation for said label

Normally, it should be this way:

Object: "Join Button"
then they would have a label depending on the locale. The game does not have a specific version for different locales, it just takes the label values depending on the locale you have selected.

Try switching it to English temporarly, to see if it happens.

Either way, this is a bug.


You can try to verify the game files:


1. Right click on "Among Us" in your game library
2. select "Properties" from the context menu
3. select "Local Files" tab
4. select "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAMEFILES..." button
5. let it finish, it sould find any problems or corrupted files you might have and fix it


Start game again, check labels...you should see the proper label for the locale you have selected

The following implies a game bug, and you are likely unable to fix it yourself:

IF it still persists (it should not), then you can try to change the game from your locale to English to see if it is still the problem.

I cannot change the language with these methods. I can't click on anything because of this error ...

Did you have a chance to run the file verification process? it should say the results after it ran


it could be something like this:

All files were successfully verified - meaning that there were no problems with the game

[number] files failed to validate - found some issues with your game, and should have corrected it


If the game still has issues after verification then it is an issue with the current version and you will likely need to wait until the devs fix it.

I would recommend editing some things to help the Devs:

Change your topic's title to:

[BUG] STRMISS - <your selected language> locale missing labels, unable to navigate menus

Change "<your selected language>" to the locale you have actually selected (I am guessing Russian?)
