Not sure why AI is talking like that. There's a reason the game has multiple language sections. Who is this "most of us" that they're even talking about?
At the end of the day, it's your lobby, your decision. I doubt it's something that will come back to bite you in the butt.
Getting to the other matter of teaming in voice chat, that is wrong no matter what language.
Sry if it sounded harsh, maybe i needed to add a smiley or sth (english not my main), by most of us, i mean spanish speakers, im not saying we all speak english, but we certainly know some degree of it, most of us.
I tend to get a lil mad when i see this kind of post because back in my day (lol, 90s kid) we didnt have games in spanish or localized lobbies, we had to deal with that all our chilhood, we had to figure out how to beat a game in english when we spoke NONE of it, we had to deal with people yelling or mocking us in online games for speaking spanish or broken english.. and you are just not even trying, bahh anyway, like Winsyrstrife says, maybe consider the opportunity to learn something new, make some new friends, expand your horizons or if not, well i guess it is your lobby and you can do as you please. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You did not need any smiley faces. I get your frustration, but those days are pretty far behind us. These days, a decent game comes out in more than just English. And likely gets more languages added to it, if the audience for it is big enough. I don't care what some other person chooses to view this as, communication is a main part of this game. As someone that can only speak one language coherently, I go to the proper language designated to me, and rightfully expect others in it to speak it well enough that they can at least relay basic important information.
"Where was the body found?"
"Did you see anyone near it?"
"What did you see that made you call this meeting?"
"Where were you color/name of spaceman?"
If you can't answer these questions with the limited knowledge you have of whatever language you're not fluent in, you shouldn't be in that section. Otherwise, all you do is slow down the match for everyone else. And waste an ejection in the event you're actually crew. You're a distraction from the main task of the game, which is finding the imposters. People shouldn't have to spend their time deciphering what someone is trying to say, in a game where talking is this important.
This isn't an example of someone being bad at English and still trying to play. I wouldn't ban those people from a lobby if they really seemed like they're trying. And we can actually understand the gist of what they're trying to say. Op's example is of people that aren't speaking the correct language at all. I'm not going to randomly learn a bunch of languages, just so people won't cheat in a game. Your "suggestion" is basically ignoring the problem, they join a lobby and speak in a different language to have an unfair advantage. They're not interested in playing the game the way it's supposed to be played.
