You don't need a headset, the game has a built in chat system. Plus it has no built in voice channels, the only reason you'd ever hear someone's voice is if you joined a discord with them.
The impostor typically doesn't have to kill much to win, a few people will get killed by the stupidity of their fellow crew. You don't even have to frame them, in fact, you can defend innocent crew members. You might think defending innocents would benefit you because it builds credibility but that doesn't apply here, no one's thinking about that. You're mostly shooting yourself in the foot as impostor but you can still win.
playing boils down to luck that the smoothbrain loudmouth and his smoothbrain lackeys kill everyone else before you as impostor. It's like RNG that you die next or not, but as impostor you can at least improve your odds by killing. Playing as crew requires that you are lucky enough for them to get the impostor voted off by chance. Your input matters little, any alibis you can provide to the innocent and evidence against the impostor is irrelevant.
Impostor is basically a 50/50 that you can sit back and watch them kill each other while winning with only a few actual kills or that they accuse you with no evidence at the very start and win through sheer luck, it doesn't matter if you can frame someone or not evidence is irrelevant for both crew and impostor.
I might have exaggerated but it's not a great experience. Gaming
What a short and simple answer.
