How the heck do I get Among Us to run in a window on startup?

My computer has major troubles doing things in full screen (In this instance it's an instant computer crash if I start up Among Us) and I want to play this game on PC. Any fix options?

This game does not support the special startup options you can set to Valve games because it's not a Valve game, so do not suggest that

* Right-click the game in the library list
* Click "Properties"
* Click the "Set Launch Options"
* Type in
-screen-fullscreen 0 -screen-width 640 -screen-height 480
* Okay and close, then start Among Us.

i have the same problem, but i have already made the changes and still the game does not play on the screen

When I try and open the game it shows the logo, then the game spikes to over 1000 fps for a split second and then the game freezes and crashes. That solution didn't work for me, any other advice?

If you guys are still having problems, just delete some graphics drivers, or in my case, the entire software, and use the default graphics drivers Windows gives you.

That answer is not correct. If I do that then move the game over to my second monitor then there is no way of making the game full screen or a maximised window. When using those instructions then the game stays at the limited size of 640 by 480 or whatever size you set it to. Why doesn't the game work like other games on Windows where you can adjust the screen on the fly or at least have the game start up in Maximised Windowed mode??

**Update - ok in the Launch options try adding: -windowed - w 1024
The game will start in a windowed screen then you can drage it the monitor/screen of choice. Then simply press ALT + Enter to get full screen. The next time you open the game then it should open on that same screen again. This worked for me. Not the best solution and quite poor that a piece of software cannot follow basic screen sizing rules!

This issue has been resolved long ago; The drivers I were using were both outdated and broken. I am using a new PC now that uses Nvidia instead of AMD, and I do not play Among Us anymore.

Well, I'd assume Among Us isn't really supported by Windows 7, so you should stay in Windowed mode (And upgrade to windows 11 when it comes out)
