Can you please go and delete the Unification_Bugfix\Movies folder, brother? With that "Movies" folder removed, I am positive the error will vanish :)
How do I change campaign objectives from just destroy all buildings?
Which means that there are only two simple options, for your convenience:
1] Unification Mod (Unification_Bugfix, in the DoW Mod Manager): This is the version that upgrades vanilla, but adds no new races.
2] Unification New Races: As above, but adds 17 very-well-done new races.
For the Campaign Configurator, makes sure you have installed the latest patch, and look into the Unification_Bugfix folder, for an exe named Unification_Configurator_1.0.0, and run it :)
I already know how to open the configurator, which was kind of hinted at in my post. I just don't know which mods in the configurator to toggle on or off because I don't ´know what they do.
What does Softcore and Hardcore do, for instance? How do I decide what level of AI I want to use? What does the heroes mod do? None of these things are clear, and there is no description for any of the mods in the whole list. AND NOWHERE CAN I SEE HOW TO CHANGE VICTORY CONDITIONS.
So I am not asking for you to tell me to read install guides and open configurators. I already did that. I want to know how to use the unification mod now that I already have it and it works.
The Campaign Win Conditions are my innovation. I am pretty sure I do know what each and every one actually does.
What I didn't get, was your original question because of hasty reading.
Sorry for that. :)
But what you asked is NOT changed.
... Meaning that I left the actual Victory conditions as they were in Vanilla:
1] Destroy HQ, for skirmish maps.
2] Capture and Hold, for maps with critical locations, and
3] Destroy Stronghold, for Stronghold maps.
There are no other VICTORY conditions added in the campaign - thus far, at least.
I HAVE coded them in Skirmish matches, but not added them as options in the Campaign.
The Unification Campaign Configurator, adds winconditions as additional options - but NOT as new VICTORY conditions...
For example, the EnableCampaignBases, keeps all buildings you built in each map, should you need to defend that area.
Titans, adds the Titans.
And Massive_Battles, increases caps.
...And so forth - most settings are self-explanatory.
If you want me to explain more, some of the Settings, just say so brother.
BUT NOTED.
I will try and add some varied VICTORY conditions in Skirmish matches, in the next Unification Patch. :)
OPTIONAL, of course, so that anyone can have it as he pleases.
I only have two small issues: the game hitches a ton no matter what I try. If I scroll to the end of the screen, it becomes unresponsive then it just snaps to location, makes it hard to MM units and place buildings. It's making my seasick too for some strange reason?
Second is the font is way to small on some of the menus. I have no idea what the new conditions are in the skirmish set up menu because I can't read them at 1440p.
Have you tried disabling the directx 8 cursor in the Mod Manager under settings -> Video ? That solved the stuttering for me
Just did and came back to report that fixed the issue! Thank you!
The 1440p fix is too big so I had to scale that down some, but a fix is there if someone needs it.
Really enjoying the mod, thank you!
