[Possible Spoilers] Multiple Endings?
So I've finished the game... and the ending I found was not what I was expecting or hoping for. In fact, it was kind of depressing and awful. Before I really make a judgement, though, I'd like to hear from other people about if there are multiple endings to the game. As it stands, though, the strange left field ending combined with the translation errors and bugs I've encountered mean I'm not feeling really impressed right now.

I guess you have no other choice but to kill Victor the fetus and let the machine possess your child. After seeing the 5th episode ending, I kinda saw that (or something like that) coming

Wait, you were able to let the machine possess your child ? That's not the ending I got. I got one where Victor himself houses the machine because he wouldn't let the machine take his child .

Sorry, I meant exactly what you said. It's just the machine takes over your child first, and then it offers you to become a host for it instead.

Someone else has a map. Maybe someone who used to research this kind of thing?

Soooo I'm done playing now, fastest chapter of my life how is this possible? Anyway LOOOVED how it looked and CAN'T BELIEVE THIS ENDING!

It was SO FREAKING SAD! The conversation with the fetus could've lasted longer maybe, because I was about to tear up but then the machine was already like; "okay Victor my man, let's go"

I somewhat love this ending, because Victor ends up the very thing he was fighting against but I will try to find other combinations with the map to find different places to reveal itself, like the fetus said earlier. Although that will probably take forever, as fetus Victor also said.

In any case, I will not give up to have a different ending!

I was wondering the same thing. Or more specifically, I was wondering who the imposter was and if there was a way to determine that.

I agree. Perhaps fighting back against the machine one last time is possible... if you outsmart it, perhaps there's a way to keep it from having the upper hand at the end.

Yeah, it really does feel like a bad ending where you screwed up and not a real conclusive true ending. It just feels too abrupt and kind of goes against the theme of Victor accepting the responsibility of fatherhood. I mean it kind of does fit the theme but I think it would be stronger if he got out of fighting The Machine a better person.

That's exactly how I feel. It was too much of a tonal shift. That's not how this story "wanted" to end.

Also got the same ending, with Victor allowing the machine to take over him to save the baby. It wasn't bad, although the dialogue felt indeed rushed. It reminded me of the end of Ghost in the Shell, with the major and the puppet master fusing into a human-ai hybrid roaming the net.

I ended up with a lot of stuff from the dreams in my inventory that I didn't use, that made me feel like I left something undone. Are there diferent ways to kill fetus Victor? I used a coathanger on his ear

Agreed. I gave it some more thought and I think a more fitting ending for what the rest of the game seemed to be going for would be Victor talking down The Machine and it has a change of heart due to seeing that Victor is willing to sacrifice his own life to save his family and neighbors, an idea that The Machine didn't think possible until then. You can even give The Machine some redemption where it accepts its death but maybe some of its conciousness continues to exist peacefully in the Dreamscape.

Yes. I used the Red staff with the glass at one end (from the Knight's grave)
