Personally I recommend mouse and keyboard but if you like it more relaxed gamepad works just as well

pointing and clicking is a lot easier than using the stick, and I am someone who usually prefers game pad. None of the essential buttons are too far away from wasd too.

I wonder how this game plays with a Steam Controller. It has touch controls, after all. So it should be perfect for pointing and clicking.

Edit: Nevermind it's bad. It is awful. I thought that you might have it to be inductive to set the range upon how far you move your thumb outwards, but the range resets upon you using the touchpad. If you want to aim far, you have to aim outwards 3 - 4 times in order to achieve range. So you have that weird effect where it just scales inwards while you want to aim far away. I don't know what magic happens here, but it makes aiming impossible on far ranges.

I think i fixed it, I simply removed it to be a mouse and made the right touch-pad act as a normal analog-stick. I suggest disabling aim-assist and lowering the sensitivity to 150%. There you go perfect ergonomics on a roguelike game with a controller :-)

Not really a tinkerer but this was worth a shot! 100% playable now via Steam Controller. Though I think i could probably tweak the controls by adding dodge/melee attack to the back buttons of the Steam controller.

And also probably gotta rebind reloading as it is on a weird spot with X as default button probably right bumper.

Would be great if the controller configuration would show what is binded onto what button by default. Right now in game it just shows X is X and so on and not what actions is done through said button. You can use this controller configuration for any controller, so that'd be useful.
