It's not easy to get this right as I am not color blind myself and don't know anyone who is.
I realize the game's colour palette would make a very bright red look out of place, but maybe there are be other ways to make explosive barrels stand out more without changing their color, like giving them a big fuse or something.
In any case thanks for your response, i'm looking forward to playing more of your game !
It might just not be as high-contrast as you're used to.
Usually players start recognizing it very quick tho, but maybe because of your colorblindness this is harder for you.
Here's a comparison[i.imgur.com].
There's several type of color blindess. Some are much more common but it's barely possible to change it to a specific color and make it fine for all the colorblind people sadly.
I'm not colorblind and I feel both are heavily washed out color on your gif. The glow help a bit but even for a non colorblind they feel way to similar.
I understand it can be used as a trap AND as a weapon and a more obvious change would remove the trap effect of it but still.
