Controller not working?

Hey devs, great game! Love it but my controller doesn't seem to be working and is not recognized by this game, even though Steam shows it active when I launch the game...

Sorry to hear that! What type of controller are you using? I typically use a PS4 controller and that has always worked for me.

It's an off brand Xbox360 compatible wired controller (not wireless). It works for every other controller compatible game (ie it works for hundreds of games with no problem)

I FIXED THE PROBLEM IN THE STEAM SETTINGS, so if anyone else has a problem with their controller not working, please try this:

1) Go to your Steam settings with your controller plugged in
.... (I'd recommend a wired controller as well, but not required)

2) Click on CONTROLLER under your Steam Settings (2nd from the bottom)

3) Click on the GENERAL CONTROLLER SETTINGS button at the top right

4) Make sure "Xbox Configuration Support " is checked (NOT Generic Gamepad)

5) Hit the BACK button at the bottom and go try this game! Have FUN! =)


My problem was that my controller settings had somehow been changed to "Generic Gamepad Configuration Support" instead of "Xbox Configuration Support" and while that seemed to work for most Steam games, it wasn't registering with this game.

Can confirm this worked for me too. Thank you! I couldn't stand keyboard and mouse controls since the default mouse cursor is used instead of a custom targeting reticle or something, was distracting to me.

Yea no controller working here either. I won't refund but if not fixed in a timly maner I will post a bad review for lying.

If you need help on setting up controller support I know gamers who made rpgs and such and added in controller support. In some cases more then one type.

I have a Logitech and a steam controlelr, neither work at all. The game doesn't reconize them. Most games reconize one of these 2.

Did the provided fix not work for these two controllers? So far it has fixed every other instance of incompatibility.
