Any news? It is still not fixed.
Is Trigger lag coming back into style?
We did find a sort of "patch", though me and my friend are paranoid given it is an unofficial patch.

(Though if anyone gets a chance to test it out, let us know. We're still hesitant on it.)

I still don't understand how this would "ensure the quality of the cooperative experience". Not being able to play together seems like a horrendous experience that just frustrates the players (even more so that we got the game solely for the purpose of co-op).
Sorry for the inconvenience caused by this. After communicating with the development team, they have requested that those affected share some information if possible.
Our game team would like to know:
- Are both players using steam as the launcher for the game when playing co-op.
- What are the internet speeds for both players.
As this issue is under investigation, any information is much appreciated. Each players response will be forwarded on to the team. Thank you for your patience.
- Ubisoft Support
- Both players are using Steam when launching the game, which leads to Ubisoft Connect launching in order to start Far Cry New Dawn.
- Friend in the US: 110 Mbps; Me in the Philippines: 15 Mbps (that didn't stop us from finishing FC5 co-op)

We've done a number of troubleshooting steps (usually found in the articles / some of the forum posts, and as per Ubisoft Support on Twitter), though, as my friend experienced with port-forwarding, it messed up the connection at their place, and we're afraid to go down that route again. At this point, we're doubtful that this issue would be fixed, and it has just been a frustrating experience considering we've only gotten the game for the co-op aspect, especially after completing FC5 (would make sense, since FC:ND comes after FC5).
As I've probably mentioned before (in which, I'm just gonna copy-paste the same text):

I'm really hoping there's a fix for this, otherwise, this is most likely the last time we'd support a Ubisoft game (in reference to one of the forum posts, a community rep going by the name of "Ubi Morning" mentioned:
"The error you’re having is a result of a high ping in the connection between you and your co-op partner. To avoid potentially affecting the quality of the cooperative experience for our players, we will not be making any changes to New Dawn’s co-op mode setup."
===
Ubisoft Support (from Twitter):
"The thread post you mentioned from Ubi Morning seems to be the decision made regarding this issue as the code. Our teams found it affects high ping players generally connecting across large geographic distances. To avoid potentially affecting the quality of the co-op experience for these players, they will not be making any changes to the co-op mode setup. Apologies for this inconvenience to your experience."

"Quality of the co-op experience", where it feels like it's not being changed, and the experience is... well, we don't get any of it. I probably don't know how hard it is to remove the "high ping kicker", but this is tiring. FC6 is about to come out, and this is still an issue, for apparently 2-3 years now. Good luck, I guess?
Alternatively, please feel free to create a {リンクが削除されました}Support Case so that we can look further into ensuring your connections are optimal to our game servers.
