Springs bottleneck?

Hey all, I am upgrading my fav weapons, and I'm finding the best farm for springs is expeditions.

No animal is traded for springs it seems, and I need about 100 or so per upgrade, and since the space force SMG is a favorite I'm looking at needing a LOT of springs to get it up to snuff for endgame play.

Anyone have a faster farm?

Expeditions are the most effecient quickest way to get resources. I was not fond of that as it seemed a bit artificial, an extra mode meant specifically to farm resources instead of having them available through the normal gameplay.

My bottleneck were the circuit boards.

I had that problem too, but I found that farming buffalo monsters was the best way to get those. There's a good spawn .. due east of the chop shop.

get the dog and farm it 15 kills to unlock resource tracking, then go to every house on the early map and springs wont be a problem

That's still not many springs. It's like, 40 a house for a house with springs and it's 120 springs per weapon upgrade.

Use the pupper for expeditions send him on to the ship to tag all the baddies then sneak in grab the bag and sneak out easy peasy. Also 1 type of fish trades for springs so you may be able to farm them up that way if expeditions don't float your boat. Plus if you dig the fishing its a good thing to do to wait for planes to drop stuff. Also the 3 resources in the cargo trucks can have 3 springs so watch out for them and remember you can shoot out the back 2 tires if you didn't get the driver fast enough.

Springs are a big bottleneck for me too, requiring quite a grind to upgrade things. I wish they had allocated one animal skin for this.

Late reply to a zombie thread but I was on another playthru, had the same question. Chinook Salmon, in the lake west of Broken Forge, North of Prosperity, 30 spring each.
Salmon east of the Refinery, 30 ea.
