Logically thinking - even if you use a regular gun, your bullets should still hurt. A LOT. Especially if your armor is just BMX gear. When i first started the bossfight and saw how much damage i was doing, my immersion was completely shattered and the very first thought was "is the game broken?". Because emptying an entire LMG magazine into them should definetely do more than like 5% damage to their total health, esp since i was mowing down previous enemies with no issue. This might be the biggest healthpool jump ive ever seen in a game. This is just bad design.
still, you get the idea LOL
Especially with wild animals. It's quite common to run into T3 animals with a ton of health right at the beginning of the game.
This game was $20-ish on release, and it shows. Feels like this was made by a new studio as part of their trial run.
As above at this point, I believe they have bitten the apples themselves so will be much harder than normal enemies. So I would say your kind of on an even footing, Just there are 2 of them.
Saying all of that, it is indeed a very frustrating fight, I tend not to use shotguns so when I get to this part, I am still in sniper mode essentially, I do it every time, I need to remember to get a shotgun ready before I start this section :p
And even if the mask was made of kevlar, the energy transfer would render anybody unconscious in only a handful of rounds. Even when you consider it's a damn game, I still find it utterly insane. I understand why they did it, but this was a bad answer. Make enemies more deadly, not bullet sponges.
In all fairness, they both died REALLY quick for me, fast enough for me to pause and think "WTF"
They saw the success of borderlands. That's about as far as their thought process got.
So the point is to grind stupid resources, upgrade guns and then fight those bulletproof bosses, kinda ridiculous yeah but fun if you don't think too much about the numbers and just keep fighting until u win
