Yeah, it's crashing for me as well. I can't get through the opening area because it just crashes within a few minutes. I'd love some info.

When you post technical questions and seeking Real answers instead of trivial replies, you better give more info.
what OS you're playing on? what's your graphic card? is your graphic card driver latest (i.e ready for Far Cry New Dawn) ?

I used a cmd command suggested by devs for just cause 3 which has major crashing issues. It wss bcdedit.exe/set {current} nx AlwaysOff followed by a restart. It worked. Run as admin.

No need to be snarky, we're just frustrated.

I run Windows 10 Home 64-bit, Nvidia GTX 980 Ti, 16 gigs of RAM, i7-8700k, latest drivers freshly installed after removing any previous drivers with DDU.
All of my other games run fine, including AC: Odyssey. It's just New Dawn that crashes to desktop within the first few minutes of the game.

i think its nvidia drivers then.
i remember when just cause 4 came out, 99% nvidia card owners had crashes, they were so frustrated, but nobody with AMD card had crashing problem. i'm not judging just saying how things are.
btw i'm using Win 10 insider preview, so i should be more prone to crashes.

HD textures cause me to crash every 20 or so min, turning them off fixed it for me

Now when I go back to play Odyssey, it's crashing on me when it hasn't crashed on me in my 20+ hours of playing it so far. I guess I should try going back to the previous driver and see if it gives me any trouble still.

Just started playing and crashed few minutes in. RYZEN 7 1700 16 GB DDR4 3200MHZCL15 GTX 970 G1 GAMING DELLP2416D 24'' 2560X1440 60 HZ IPS max settings 1440p with latest drivers. Should i just switch off hd textures? But in far cry 5 they dont cause issues why in this as Keegan says? Any other solution?

only shows if you download the HD textures but since you don't have them that shouldn't be a problem for you, I suggest contacting ubi support

Not sure if this is a dead post but, for anyone having this problem - check the clock on your Windows desktop. Is it wrong?

Then try fixing it. Check this guide: https://techcult.com/fix-windows-10-clock-time-wrong/

If you dual boot: https://www.howtogeek.com/323390/how-to-fix-windows-and-linux-showing-different-times-when-dual-booting/

This is what solved it for me. I suspect Windows is causing timestamp errors in the game’s autosave feature.

It's not the game. It's not Ubisoft. It's not Steam. It's Uncle Bill and his minions messing with your head.

I've tried reporting this to Ubisoft but they're impossible to contact.
