heard there was a large texture pack for this....does seem small for this file to be complete

Hi maryo23, the sizes are;

without HD texture pack: 19.3GB
with HD texture pack: 39.2GB

Is there any way to download the HD texture pack while it's still in pre-load? It's not much of a pre-load if I have to download ten gigs after unpacking lol

So how do you download the HD texture pack? Definitely would want to play this with the best textures possible.

Apparently , it has to be present as a free DLC, but all steam users like are still not able to download it.
