Is there a trick to SPAWNING the monstrous bear????

So, I'm just tooling around collecting challenges before completing the game, I've done all other monstrous animals. I know the two locations the monstrous bear is supposed to spawn and I have travelled to both and spent a good 2-3 hours running around each location. Never seen the monstrous bear once. Not even a sniff. I've checked YouTube advice with a couple of videos suggesting the use of bait. I must have thrown 20-30 pieces around each location. Nothing. Is there a trick to getting this thing to spawn? It's soooo annoying! I'm about to can the whole game!

No trick. Either you're incredibly unlucky or you have a bug. Try fast travelling a spot close to a known M bear location and air dropping by parachute. Use your sniper rifle to scope out the area as you come down.
