Game refuses to stop running

Can anyone explain why I quit to desktop and steam still shows the game as running but it's shown nowhere in task manager?

its a stupid cancerous glitch it does it to everyone i just restart my whole pc :/

I had seen it once before also i had closed everything Ubisoft related in task man and it hasn't happened to me since (it might be diffrent for you though idk)

I have had that happen several times. It always stops when I kill Uplay (right click on the icon in the lower right of the screen and select exit). For some reason Uplay won't close the game sometimes.

Maybe because refund XD. Happened me too on launch day

happens if you install the game via steam, only fix is to force steam to close and reopen it when it happens, no need to restart your pc

The reason I have to restart my PC is because I use lots of Corsair products and their software does special lighting with Far Cry 5 and New Dawn. And because Steam doesn't show the game as not running, my corsair software doesn't know to stop the lights and for some reason it also freezes my corsair software. When I've quit steam and restarted it, it'll show it as not running but my lighting on my PC and peripherals are still acting as if it is.

I just find it odd that there is any problem at all because Far Cry 5 ran like a dream.

I do wonder if that could be the problem so I've disabled SDK in ICUE today and am going to try again later tonight.

There is a stop button if you right click the game in the Steam library, but it doesn't work either.

the easy way to murder FCND is to just make a batch file containing
TASKKILL /F /IM NameOfEXE /T
(Dont have to use the whole name just enough to be "unique" and add a *)
then put a shortcut on desktop or where ever.

Possible could be used to also restart icue but no guarantee

And it still exists.
According to Discord I was playing it all day, even after starting Far Cry 6 later in the day. Still showed FCND as active.
