I hate the judge
its not cuz who he is, its because he will be standing RIGHT IN FRONT of a highwayman and do nothing, and then when I am sneaking around he will have a clear line of sight bu in place of taking the shot he moves and try's to force me out of cover, he is useless

He is terrible imo. Nana is annoying to talk to, but she gets the job done.

I only use him when hunting, because he pacify animals...

Yeah, he's the weakest companion. I'm trying to get him up to 40 kills, hoping the 3 consecutive arrows ability might change his usefulness. Right now on hardest difficulty, most of the time it takes two shots to kill anything at least and usually he just manages at pissing the bad guys off.

My least favourite is Carmina, because she blows up herself, the truck I was about to steal, the bodies I want to loot, the people I'm trying to save, and/or me - in roughly that order. And it only gets worse once she hits max level and gets dynamite spam.

This is his intended use, that's why he's "the hunter"

Get a vehicle with a mounted 50cal and he'll use it, easiest way to get his kills up. He still sux though

Awful companion. He's always getting downed when I ran with him for any significant amount of time.

Timber for his item highlighting skill and Horatio as a powerful tank after the best companions IMO.

Yeah those two animals are all you need for outposts and roaming.
For expeditions I like the girl with the explosive ammo machine gun or Hurk

Nana is fantastic for sniping; I've cleared entire outposts without firing a shot, just sitting up somewhere high with the binoculars and carefully getting her to take out the guards. Also if they see her, it doesn't lose your stealth bonus OR make them trigger an alarm - although she'll probably get killed in the resulting firefight, and you'll have to sneakily revive her if you want to keep it that way.

This approach also works well for solo expeditions, although she's not so useful in the big fight at the end.

(Nana's biggest drawback is that she comments on EVERYTHING, and while it's funny at first it begins to grate after a while)

Got to admit that the guy who defeated Father and his Peggies is now quite the weakling.

Also, since nobody's mentioned it - Timber's OTHER ability is that human enemies don't attack him unprovoked. You can order him to walk all around an outpost to tag every guard/alarm there is before switching to Nana or Horatio or whoever for the actual attack.

That's a good tip, but I had him at 36 kills at the time I wrote that. And he doesn't get much better with the unlocked perk.

Yup, not much point in being stealth if your arrows only alert everyone.
Target him at an animal though and he'll drop it instantly
