Highwaymen corpses usually hold 10-20 copper each. Otherwise Skunk, Wild Dog, Demon Fish,Paddlefish Sturgeon,,Boar, Hare, Roadkill Meat, Burned Meat and Feathers can be traded for copper.....and of course check the containers and supply drops you come across.

Save ammo by going stealth/takedown since ammo takes loads of ammo.
When upgrading ammo in perks dont buy all, buy what sort of ammo you use, rockets and 40mm grenades takes loads of copper pr shot.

Just hunting is probably the quickest way. But yeah supply drops, resource trucks, looting corpses are all good ways.

Get the map from the orgasm kid, it has all the locations for copper wire on it if I remember correctly.

Basically have good aim (so you're not wasting ammo) and loot everything. You should have more copper than you'll ever need halfway through your playthrough.

You don't really need to bother with copper if you kill animals often and do a few activities and loot every enemy...

You get SO MUCH COPPER that by the time I reached the ~30 hour mark in playthrough I'm already having 10,000 Copper.

I don't use full auto guns that often until necessary in a firefight and I use bows and sometimes throwing knives when I get the chance and focus on stealth kills half the time...
Bows are also overpowered if you get them upgraded first, as a 800 damage bow kills every enemy with body shots other than elites, and 1200 damage bows kills elites.

Same here but toward the end of the game and elite gear that copper is sucked up quickly, I think I had over 30,000 units and now I'm scrounging for it now. Just one shotting highway men with an elite sniper rifle is the fast way to load up.

i was doing some testing and i might of found out that every 10 copper = to 1 copper bec when i was grinding copper it said i got over 60+ copper when looting but when i looked at it ,it only went up buy 6 and more
Just use a trainer or download the scavenger mod that lets you craft for free. The grinding in this is horrendous
