Even so, its hard to say without seeing your situation... For the most part if you're sneaking, your ally is sneaking. I have seen them break stealth but it was very rare for me. And If you want them to hang back, attack, or move someplace else you can send them with 1 key press - just point and G. (the ally command interface is very limited but very streamlined and effective.)
Sneak in by yourself if you want a challenge.
The AI seems improved over FC5 (which was pretty bad)
Right at the "BEGINNING" of the game. It's not like I recruited her, she's just there and I can't get rid of her. She literally walked up next to were I was hiding in the grass and stood there until the npc saw her and aggroed the entire camp.
If the AI is that bad all the way through, for all npc's freindly and enemy, it won't be worth playing for me personally.
I didn't mention previously how after miss moron aggroed the entire camp that I pulled a Leeroy and that most of the enemies with clear LOS didn't even react to me until I punched them in the face, and even then it took tons of bullets to take me down. (On Tough setting, which is normal setting renamed)
