Is it showing that you need to start a completely new game or has it got an older save or another game present?

If the local save files still exist, they should be here:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame\<UplayID>\5211

they are pretty small , so ya just need a thumb drive , or even an SD card would work provided you have a card reader in your PC or laptop

I copy and pasted the old save to the new location since i couldnt figure out how to get the game to save to the old location. it worked for me
Hey!
5210 is for Far Cry New Dawn (Uplay) save games, and 5211 is for Far Cry New Dawn (Steam) saves.
The way Axelle resolved the issue is by having the save file in the correct folder, that the game is using. By default it is in the location stated above by Ubi-Baron.
Do you perhaps have more than 1 hard drive?
