Lost save file?
I started my playthrough a few days ago and when i went to continue my save was completely gone even though my progress on steam and uplay exists. Anyone else have this issue? I got back to where i was but that sucked i lost almost 2 hours of progress.

Thanks for confirming that.

If the local save files still exist, they should be here:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame\<UplayID>\5211
- Ubisoft Support
Thank you! For some reason the origenal save went to my D drive (where i put my games/saves) but when i played the second time it went to the C drives. Not sure how that happened but now i know to check both places in the future.

We're sorry to hear that this has occurred.

Is it showing that you need to start a completely new game or has it got an older save or another game present?

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

see this page and always back up your own saves for uplay games if you wish to keep em
they are pretty small , so ya just need a thumb drive , or even an SD card would work provided you have a card reader in your PC or laptop

Okay, so I'm there and I too have the problem that Axelle had, but I don't really understand what to do with the saves. I see a 5210 but no 5211. I manually selected save in the past, but I don't even have the option to continue.

I copy and pasted the old save to the new location since i couldnt figure out how to get the game to save to the old location. it worked for me

Hey!

5210 is for Far Cry New Dawn (Uplay) save games, and 5211 is for Far Cry New Dawn (Steam) saves.

The way Axelle resolved the issue is by having the save file in the correct folder, that the game is using. By default it is in the location stated above by Ubi-Baron.

Do you perhaps have more than 1 hard drive?
