Afterwards I can choose to stay or go and then I get a brief cut scene of Alex on stage if I choose to leave or a moment of her on the docks and then walking into town if she stays.
Maybe I was wrong, I just thought you got a more detailed preview of your life on the road before you pick.
For Alex herself, there are always going to be mixed feelings about Haven Springs - she has the opportunity to make a home there, but it's also the place where her father and brother died, and she nearly died too. It's the place where she learned to accept her powers, but it's not a place where she'll have a lot of use for them. It's the place where Ryan wants to stay, but Steph wants to leave.
My choice is for Alex and Steph to leave together, but my head-canon is that they come back to visit from time to time.
That is awesome.
