You can't buy the remastered separately?

This is a poor decision and will only burn dedicated players in the long run. It's 2 different games and you are forcing them together in a near $90 price tag.

Activision did this with infinite warfare and modern warfare remastered. No one enjoyed that, it's a terrible model to fallow and I hope they change this before release because there is no excuse for it.

Mentioned that. Hope they do. It would also get them more sales overall and they could just add the 2 to a separate bundle. If making money is their goal, this is not how you do it even with the price bump.

Part of me wonders if that's why the price is so high. Maybe they'll separate the two after launch and let us buy just True Colours.

Not at the moment, but It'll be available to purchase separately later on in the year for $40. I personally thought It'd just be best to purchase the ultimate edition bundle because It's saving you exactly $41.14 and comes with everything, but I could understand those who are iffy about the pricing of the bundle and waiting to see more.

I may be missing something, but that's 2 games in a bundle... I still can't buy Life Is Strange Remastered on its own as a single game.

Yeah, I believe you can still buy the original versions of Life Is Strange and Before the Storm as individual games, but the Remastered Collection is the only way the remasters have been available (unless you count them being included as part of an even larger bundle) - the two remasters have never, so far as I know, been available individually.
