She's proven herself to be pretty resilient, growing up under foster care, as well as her powers giving her extra strength through emotion. Although I understand where you're coming from. I really thought she was done for at that point lol.

Wasn't it suggested she was fairly hurt after the fall and that she was just running on adrenaline? Anyway, the multiple wooden boards helped to break the fall if anything. Otherwise it would have been a straight drop down a very deep hole.

i think anger protected her from bullet (she rised her hand before the shot) and saddness or fear protected her when she was falling down
her powers is much more than empathic+telepatic i guess, but she doesnt know yet
+
also i believe she used anger again to clear the exit (there were a lot of stones) because we saw how her eyes became red just before she went out

This was the one thing which annoyed me. They could have written that section with a smaller fall or a fall which ended up in water to make it realistic. Her glasses didn't even come off her head....

Episode 5 is terrible for multiple reasons, up until then the game was pretty good.

I don't buy Jed having first degree murder in him, it's one thing to make bad calls to get people killed and it's whole another level to take someone out to the middle of nowhere to execute them. I think if the game hinted more of a dark nature in Jed it would make more sense.

Second, if the fall and gun shot wound didn't kill her being trapped in a dark mine would, Jed knew the mine, it makes no sense to dump a body right near the entrance.

The bar scene at the end felt way too long and preachy, this whole episode should have been scrapped.

It is explained how she survived.

There was wooden planks/off shoot and the like jutting out from the walls in the hole. She hit a few on the way down and it cushioned her fall.

EDIT: I lol'd at the glasses comment tho. That was spot on .. no defending that one haha ♥

Jed was a soldier, i would say its pretty believable.

OP. Human can survive that fall, especially if there are obstacles on the way to the ground(planks). We had an accident in my city one day, drunk teenager fallen out of the window on 7 or 8 floor. Not only he survived but stood up on his own and walked right back to his apartment, report said he broke his arm and some ribs. Though he was saved by some bushes, but you could say the same about Alex, if not for the planks in the shaft she wouldn't survive.

P.S. No way to defend glasses, that was a huge oversight by the devs. They could've just removed them from her face the moment she hit first plank. I think she would've still walked out of there without glasses. I hope they patch that, it is the only unbelievable thing for me

Yeah the glasses not falling off or breaking is odd.. Thinking of it do we ever see her without them? Maybe she glued them on or something.

People survived worse than that.

I think its a character model thing, they probably made it one with a model and not as a separate object. I hope they patch it up, but i have a feeling that would require remake of Alex's character model.

Besides, whats the deal with the headshot? Were they trying to make a Fallout New Vegas reference or what? Werent they supposed to have an inspection in a few days? So they threw a body with a gunshot wound on the mine so the inspector could find it?

It grazed her. You can see she got a cut on her head.

Its still a gunshot wound

So? It grazed her, it was more skin to a cut. In the final scene you can see it didn't even need stitches.

If it hit her more she would have been bleeding a lot more, and would probably have died from bloodloss.

It healed because she was still alive, if she died, the wound would not heal at all.
Do you think that if they find the body and the autopsy reveals a gunshot wound on the head everyone would be ok?
Jed was not really smart with that decision.
Stop defending the indefensible.

I thought you were concerned that it didn't harm her more than it did. But let's address your concern then.
Jed didn't care, he made sure she fell into a part of the mine that was blocked off by the Rhea explosion. It could be decades before she's found, especially if Typhon and Jed covered her disappearance as her leaving town or getting arrested or something.

Inspection already happened somewhere between 2rd and 3rd episode. I recommend you to pay more attention when playing games. Game's story is great, at the very least above average. Don't see any plot holes, there is an answer for every question.
