Did they fix the localisation?
NISA thought it was funny to rename the character Esty Erheart to Esty Dee because apparantly renaming characters for the sake of a childish phun is the professional thing to do according to NISA.

Did they fix this in the DX versions and gave her back her real name?

I don't have the DX versions, but do you really think KT would waste time and resources just to fix NISA's translations? So yeah, no.

Nope.

What a shame. I'll wait for a deep discount and a fan patch than.

I must admit, I did not know for a long time after I played this game on the PS3, that her name was done that way by a joke.
But yeah, that was damn bad.

Not worth never playing the game, but you know, to each his own.

A heavy discount over a name, really?
LMAO.

Some people are just way too obsessed over a terrible joke.
I think those people should be smacked by a Puni God. :)

You can easily fix it by playing the game in Japanese.
davidb11 Dec 30, 2018 @ 1:04pm
That's only a fix if you want to learn Japanese first. :P
ANd spending a few years studying it to play this game is a little excessive.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone creates a text patch for this game. Now, fixing the audio might be the hard part.

Or you know, you could just ignore the terrible joke. That's also an option. It's how I will do it.
Besides, it's not as bad as Chaos Wars. :)

The funny thing is the manual fixed her name. Probably just trickier to fix the audio so they didn't change the text.

While I think its ♥♥♥♥ that NISA changed it and that Koei didn't change it back, lets just say that its not the hill I wanna die on. Overall I am skeptical of anything NISA's involved in and I think Japanese developers should stop licensing their properties to them and am less likely to buy a game with NISA's name attached.

I find the absurd levels of hatred for NISA kind of silly here.

I just don't get it.
NISA used to make great games. They used to be a good company.
I just don't get the hatred all of a sudden.

This is like trying to beat up Todd Howard because of the bugs in Bethesda games. :P

because they bog down otherwise great games. Alot of their ports are buggy, or missing features(specifically referring to Disgaea 5), they sometimes inject politics into the dialogue, etc.

Its the principle. Tecmo-Koei had no less than two opportunities to fix this and they didn't. It show a lack of care for the game and the costumers.

For some this might be a minor thing, but for me it completely ruins the immersion and pisses me off to no end every time i see it.
